An aesthetic and functional change
When we think about an identity verification process, the first thing that comes to mind is the user onboarding process during which they capture the evidence we request. However, that onboarding process would be of little use if we don’t have a system to store and process those collected data. Within our dashboard, that place is the User Profile.
From the User Profile of one of your clients, you can see not only the collected evidence but also a series of crucial data for the acceptance or rejection of that user, such as security checks, data reading from documents, or the traceability of the onboarding process itself. But it’s also the place to make decisions regarding that user: you can change their status, cancel or delete evidence, download certificates, and much more.

After a process of research, redesign, and improvement, today we present to you the new version of our User Profile. This new version of what we can consider the most important screen of our dashboard has not only resulted in a much more intuitive and usable design but also brings with it a series of new functionalities.
New features, one by one.
User State
The User State was a highly requested feature by our clients. Thanks to this update, you can now know at all times at which point of the onboarding process your user is. Once all the evidence is collected, the user will automatically enter the “Under review” state, which will allow you to know that it’s time to make a decision regarding their acceptance or rejection. From the dashboard itself, you can not only mark that decision but also leave a record of the reasons that led to the acceptance or rejection of the user.
Furthermore, the conceptualization and design of this feature allow you to freely change the user’s state among the 5 possible options: Not started, In progress, Under review, Accepted, and Rejected.
General results
The General Results section allows us to have a quick and general overview of the user’s onboarding results.
These general results are based on the security checks and reading of the uploaded evidence, so depending on the outcome of these lower-level checks, the general results will also vary.
Additionally, it is these general results that condition the criteria for automatic acceptance and rejection when configured.
Estimated User Information
A new functionality within the selfie section is the Estimated Age of the user. From Alice, we are now able to estimate – within a range – the age of the user. This facilitates decision-making when age is a determining factor. But it is also crucial for one of the new security checks we have developed in the document section.

Uncompromised Selfie / Uncompromised Document
During user review processes, it’s common to encounter some users who you consider fraudulent and know they pose a threat to your platform. But also, at Alice, we have identified a series of selfies and documents that we are aware have been repeatedly used fraudulently, and we don’t want them to harm our clients.
With this need in mind, at Alice, we have developed a database where we collect all these pieces of evidence. So, when a new user signs up for your platform, their evidence will be compared with those contained in this database. If this new check appears in green, we will be indicating to you that the evidence of this new user does not match those in our database of Compromised Selfies and Documents.
Captured with a legitimate device
Aquellos de nuestros clientes que utilizan nuestras SDK para la captura de evidencias, no solo de benefician de la comodidad de nuestro producto, sino que obtienen toda una serie de capas de seguridad que se llevan a cabo durante el proceso de captura.
Este nuevo check, cuando aparece en verde, os estará indicando que el usuario ha utilizado la SDK para la captura de la evidencia, y que no ha intentado subirla mediante un proceso alternativo para poder sortear esos sistema de seguridad desarrollados por Alice.
Age matches estimated age
Thanks to the new Age Estimation functionality, we have been able to add a new layer of security to our document section.
This new check, when it appears in green, will indicate to you that the age indicated in the uploaded document matches the age estimated by Alice from the user’s selfie.
Edit OCR
Within the document reading section, we find a new feature: OCR editing.
So far, the document reading section displayed the reading that Alice had managed to make of the data from the uploaded document. Now, in addition to that, you can decide to edit those fields if you consider that any of them have been read incorrectly. But not only that, but you will also find a history of changes, so that you always have all the information at hand: from the original reading that Alice made to the different versions of changes that field underwent over time.
Capture Types – Timeline
Our Timeline has not only undergone a significant aesthetic change, which we have taken advantage of to add a new functionality.
Within the events found in the timeline, you can find a series of information such as the capture date of an evidence or the device from which it was captured. Well, now you can also see how that evidence was captured, within the different options:
- SDK or API
- Camera or File
- Automatic or Manual
