Woonivers streamlines VAT refunds

Woonivers is a Spanish fintech, which operates under a commission model. It establishes agreements with companies in the retail sector to help them streamline the VAT refund process for foreigners in an online and simple way. It manages the registration and issuing of Tax Free tickets directly through its app, reducing a procedure that can take days to just a few minutes.

It has been proven that the faster the VAT refund, the more tourists shop – which has a positive impact on businesses. This is why Woonivers not only facilitates the shopping experience for visitors, but also contributes to boosting trade.

Woonivers sought to automatically extract data from passports and identity documents.

In addition, as a financial services provider, Woonivers needed to identify its users to comply with the Know Your Customers (KYC) identity verification regulation.
